2020 Trends in Children’s Activity business

An online broker for kids activities, Sawyer, recently sent out an article summarizing what trends they have seen during 2020 on the Children’s Activity business.

They found, which is rather intuitive, that online classes get booked closer in time to the actual event as opposed to in person activities which get booked further out.

Generally, in person activities are longer in time per occasion compared to online activities, the latter are also roughly 60% of the price of the in-person activity.

What we at Treebath like is that Mindfulness is on the rise and the 4th biggest trending activity during 2020. Mindfulness is really something that help the little ones cope with the stresses of Corona that they sometimes see in their parents and take on themselves.

Treebath runs outdoor programs for children and adults. Our kids activities are 2 hour drop off classes in a nature setting and during Corona limited to a maximum of 5 kids per teaching “pod”.

The children enjoy active, cognitive and mindful games/activities and also learn a word and animal of the day.

Children can come twice a week or even more times as we have adopted our booking system to an overall complex school situation for parents.
